A Life Shaped by Culture, Faith, and the Call to Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy has always been more than a profession to me. It is a vocation, a sacred responsibility to honor the lives and stories entrusted to my care.
Long before I trained in specialized methods, I understood that the way we experience the world is deeply shaped by the culture, family, and faith traditions in which we are raised. These roots remain with us, even when we cross borders, begin new lives, or adapt to new surroundings.
My own background has given me an international perspective that guides my work every day. I know the importance of faith, of family bonds, and of values that do not always translate easily into all cultures. I also speak a few languages, which allows me to connect more deeply with clients from diverse backgrounds. This perspective has become the heart of my approach to psychotherapy: to see the whole person, not only the symptoms they carry.
Training and Specializations
I am an EMDR Certified Psychotherapist, extensively trained in one of the most effective, research-based approaches to trauma and emotional healing. I am also trained in the Gottman Method for Couples Counseling and in hypnotherapy, which provides clients with gentle, effective ways to access deeper healing states. For those who wish to integrate faith into their journey, I also offer Catholic Counseling, honoring the wisdom and strength of the Church.
These are more than techniques to me; they are tools I use with care, always guided by respect for the person in front of me. My role is not to impose, but to walk alongside you, listening, supporting, and helping you discover your own path to wholeness.
My Philosophy
I believe psychotherapy should be a place of safety, dignity, and renewal. It is not about discarding who you are, but about restoring what life has weighed down and reclaiming the clarity that was always within you. Whether you are healing from trauma, strengthening your relationship, or seeking peace in your inner life, you deserve a space where every part of you, including culture, faith, history, and hope is welcomed.
This is the heart of my work: to provide psychotherapy that respects where you come from and helps you step forward with strength, peace, and clarity.
Heroes
The heroes in my Hall of Fame
are just ordinary people without a name.
The Lady that wiped away my tears,
The man that calmed my imaginary fears.
You who helped me when I was down,
Your smiles that wiped away my frowns.
You that comforted a lonely child,
Who’s only feeling a hate so wild.
You that showed me a world of love and care,
Taught me how to live and how to share.
You all will be in my Hall of Fame,
Just Ordinary People without a name.
